We report on efforts to model the Spectral Energy Distributions (SEDs) of galaxies confirmed spectroscopically to be part of the nearby Coma
cluster of galaxies. This work is motivated by the recent Spitzer IRAC
results of Jenkins et al. (2007), which demonstrate that the 3.6 μm luminosity function of the Coma cluster has a steep faint-end slope, indicating a large population of Infrared-selected dwarf galaxies. The wavelength coverage of much of the existing optical spectra in Coma is rather limited so we endeavor to better constrain star formation histories and stellar population ages through the broader wavelength coveraged afforded by SED fitting of both SDSS optical data and Spitzer IRAC data. We also report on prospects for using the new, deep GALEX UV data. This research was funded by the NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program (USRP).
