We measure the galaxy luminosity function (LF) at FUV band ( effective wavelength 1516 Angstrom ) from z 0 to 1.2 based on GALEX data and CFHTLS observations. We present the evolution of its slope and other parameters through redshift. From the measured LF we select a sub-sample of the bright galaxies as extreme star-forming galaxies and study their properties.
