Ab-initio modeling of galaxy formation is becoming ever more detailed and is including ever more physical processes in a bid to describe the process of galaxy formation more realistically. We will describe some recent advances and applications of the semi-analytic model of galaxy formation, GALFORM. In particular, we will describe a preliminary study of the effects of environment on galaxy morphology in a z=0.4 cluster.
