The radial velocity of galaxies at the edge of the Local Supercluster are analyzed using data sampled from the Bottinelli (1984) catalog of galactic distances. The discussion is limited to those galaxies with radial velocities over 3700 km/sec and a Hubble constant of 91. Correlations are sought between distances derived from the redshifts of the selected galaxies and the Bottinelli distances calculated on the basis of the Tully-Fisher distance module. The redshift model yields an average distance 0.81 mag higher than that obtained using the Tully-Fisher method. The results are taken to indicate that the velocity dispersion around the Local Supercluster is more important than previously thought.
