Technical research in the field of nulling interferometry at the
Institut d’Astrophysique Spatiale (IAS) is following two principal
paths. The first path concerns technology studies for the Darwin project
with the test bench NULLTIMATE, and the second one is the study of
precursors to the Darwin project which appear compelling and necessary.
