I have reanalyzed the multi-band polarimetry of the Musca cloud by Arnal, Morras & Rizzo (1993), along the lines of Andersson & Potter (2005, 2007). As in those earlier studies the wavelength of maximum polarization is seen to correlate with the visual extinction, but not (in the one cloud) with the ratio of the total-to-selective extinction.
The Musca data support the earlier result that the slope in lambdamax vs. AV is universal and that the zero intercept is correlated with the average value of RV in the cloud.
