New emission line galaxies with Wolf-Rayet bands in their optical spectrum are reported. The WR bump at 4650 A is detected and resolved in Mkn 710, Mkn 724, Mkn 1089, and Mkn 1236. The band consists of broad He II and N III emission (except in Mkn 1236) and the narrow nebular lines are clearly discernable on the spectra. WN subtypes are the only contributors to the WR population. The luminosity in the WR He II line is proportional to the luminosity of the parent galaxy and remains constant for the brighter objects, suggesting that the mass of newly formed stars scales as the mass of the galaxy. A correlation is also found between the luminosity of the WR line and the metallicity of the nebular gas.
