A functional analysis study is presented for the transfer problem of the motion along the earth and the moon orbits of a space vehicle acted upon by a small-traction propulsion force, starting at the collinear libration points of the earth-moon system. It is shown that the imposed transfer is realized by the existing piecewise constant controls. The trajectory of the space vehicle motion and the velocity variation along the optimal trajectory are obtained. A numerical application is presented.
