This paper first presents a review of interstellar solar sailing. Included is a treatment of close perihelion (``sundiver'') trajectories, the effects of cable mass / strength and sail optical / thermal / structural properties. Also considered are suggestions to enhance performance by using cables that are partially supported by solar radiation pressure or to replace cables altogether as a means of affixing payload to sail. Various sail films that have been suggested are considered. Next, we present an approach to an Oort -cloud mission in the 2030-2050 time frame. Although ``1000-year-arks'' or probes to Alpha Centauri will not be feasible in this time interval, solar-system hyperbolic-excess velocities in excess of 300 km / sec may be achievable.
