The fantastic images of the Universe captured by ground and space-based telescopes are largely responsible for the magical appeal that astronomy has on lay people. "From Earth to the Universe" is an IYA 2009 cornerstone project that will bring astronomical images to a worldwide audience in a way that exposes the beauty of these images while also introducing the science behind them. The main target of these exhibitions is non-traditional venues such as public parks and gardens, art museums, metro stations, etc. that allow for large-scale prints to be displayed. This talk will cover the plans to implement this project, including the details on a prototype exhibition slated for June 2008 in Liverpool, England.
