The existence of Friedmann-like singularities, in a subclass of the Szekeres cosmological models which admits no Killing vector fields and depends on a single variable's three arbitrary functions, is established. The behavior of the matter denisty, the rate of shear of the matter, and the Weyl conformal curvature tensor as the singularity is approached are described, and the solutions are formulated in a way which allows a comparison to be made with the linear perturbations of the Einstein-de Sitter solution. It is noted that the general remarks presented are tentative, since they are based on an iterative procedure whose convergence has not yet been established.
