We present the results of an X-ray study of 21 Abell clusters. The sample consists of clusters observed by the ENACS collaboration for which archival ROSAT PSPC data are available. We have applied three methods for quantifying the substructure in clusters. The wavelet transform method (Starck, 1995, Slezak, 1994), the moment method developed by Buote and Tsai (1995), and thirdly the center shift method proposed by Mohr (1993). We compare the results of these three methods to see if they yield consistent results as to the frequency of occurence of substructure in our cluster sample.
