We examine gravity-induced fermion-number fractionization in
higher-dimensional, asymptotically locally flat spacetimes, and discuss
applications to Kaluza-Klein theories. In particular we show that the
existence of n-monopole solutions in the five-dimensional theory implies
quantization of fermion number in units of (1/24).
