This paper presents new uvby light curves of the detached eclipsing binary CR Cas together with some Hbegin {equation}ta measurements. From the analysis of the photometry we have estimated preliminary values for interstellar reddening and distance, radiative parameters of both components and an approximation to the geometrical elements of the system. The intrinsic photometric indices are compatible with spectral types B0.5V + B1V. Based on observations collected with the Spanish 1.5~m. telescope at Calar Alto, Almeria, Spain. Table 4 will be accessible only in electronic form at the CDS via anonymous ftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) or via http://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/Abstract.html
