Cometary Comae, Photometry

Photometry of cometary comae with standard aperture, expressed in kilometre on the coma, allows a noticeable improvement in the analysis of light curves. A good improvement came also taking into account the spectral sensitivity of the CCD and referring to V or R photometric bands also unfiltered images. In this way, and providing an adequate calibration, at least for dusty comets, V and R and unfiltered data appear in good agreement.
