Voids form naturally as an initially homogeneous system of galaxies
clusters gravitationally. The size distribution of voids has a
characteristic shape. It does not depend strongly on initial conditions
or cosmology. Therefore, comparison with observations provides a
powerful general test of gravitational clustering theories.
