The effect of neutrinos produced during gravitational collapse of a stellar core on the isotopic composition of envelope matter is examined. It is shown that various nucleosynthetic processes involving neutrino capture result in intense production of the bypassed isotopes of chemical elements. The magnitude of the effect is estimated quantitatively, and the efficiency of the proposed mechanism is demonstrated by using an example where the irradiated envelope matter is assumed to contain only stable isotopes in the same proportions as in observed color-system matter. The abundances obtained for most of the bypassed isotopes are found to reproduce most satisfactorily the shape of the abundance curve for bypassed isotopes in solar-system matter. The role of neutrinos in the general pattern of nucleosynthesis is briefly discussed.
