The paper examines the possible formation of intermediate and diffusion particles in proton events in the foreshock region of the earth via a magnetic pumping mechanism. A transport equation is obtained which includes convection, spatial diffusion, and Alfven acceleration. It is shown that the variable magnetic field of quasi-monochromatic compression waves can generate (under the condition of particle scattering by MHD turbulence) a power spectrum of accelerated protons up to energies of 100-120 keV. The particle spectrum is obtained, and its dependence on the parameters of the acceleration region is investigated.
