The forced oscillations of a star, due to a periodic varying outer gravitational potential are examined, more precisely concerning toroidal modes. The oscillations are assumed to be adiabatic and the star uniformly and slowly rotating. The results show that for most of these modes, a resonance is possible only for determined values of the ratio of the orbital to rotation frequency. The importance of this resonance is comparable to those of gravity modes, for sufficiently large values of the stellar rotation.
