A Forbush decrease on February 15, 1978 (maximum depression at 1400-1600 UT, as large as 15%) is reported from data of the Japanese observation network, which consists of four neutron monitors and four multi-direction meson telescopes, one at sea level (Nagoya) and three underground. Data acquired from these stations, whose median rigidities range from 33 GV to 340 GV, show that the cosmic ray intensity level after recovery was higher than in the pre-decrease period. Particular attention is placed on the Nagoya data, from which the north-south component of anisotropy is revealed. The Forbush decrease is analyzed and plotted as a function of median rigidity.
