The paper presents calculations of cascade curves and fluctuations of EAS maximum position in the 10 to the 15th to 10 to the 19th eV energy range for three hadron-interaction models: a scaling model and a composite model described by Dedenko et al. (1983), and the quark-gluon string model. Preliminary experimental results are presented for energies greater than 10 to the 16th eV, and a comparison is made between theoretical and experimental results.
