Records of F-region drifts at Arecibo have been published which indicate strong anticorrelation between drifts parallel and perpendicular to the magnetic field. These are now compared with magnetograms. The drifts' correlation is best with the magnetic D component when periodicities are in the range 30 to 120 minutes. There is some evidence that field-aligned currents may be reponsible for the fluctuations in dD.
