Recent well-planned monitoring with RXTE has allowed the first measurement of the broadband X-ray fluctuation Power Spectral Density function (PSD) in a small sample of 6 Seyfert 1 galaxies. Although the PSDs are quite noisy, their overall appearance is remarkably similar to those of Galactic X-Ray Binaries (XRBs). Most show broken power-law shapes, and one (NGC 3783) shows a doublely-broken power like that seen in Cygnus X-1 and other XRBs in the ``low/hard" state. When the whole sample is considered, we find a linear scaling between break time scale and putative black hole mass (measured from reverberation mapping experiments). Remarkably, this linear scaling measured for supermassive (Seyfert) black holes appears to extrapolate almost perfectly down to stellar-mass (XRB) black holes. This could indicate that the same process(es) power black holes over a range of > 108 in mass.
The flight of Lobster will increase the number of well-determined PSDs by more than an order of magnitude. I will discuss the implications of such an advance for future understanding of Seyfert 1 emission processes.
