We describe the computational techniques for the recently updated FLCT local correlation tracking method. The FLCT code is then evaluated using a series of simple 2D known flow patterns that test its accuracy and characterize its errors. Finally, flow patterns derived from observed magnetogram and white light data are compared, and the differences interpreted.
