We present a general overview and status report of the FIU-NSF Blazar variability study which seeks to elucidate possible correlations between micro-variability and short term variations in the light curves of Blazars. Known candidates for physical mechanisms which give rise to microvariability are also concurrently being investigated as are the specific parameters for such processes. The central focus of this study is to collect monitoring, color, and microvariability observations for a list of over a dozen AGN objects which are variant in object type and behavioral characteristics. Thus far, the study has led to a significant accumulation of data and from it the distinct morphologies and occurrences of microvariability are compared to short-term variability and long term variability in the hopes that their physical relationships may be understood.
