Fission-product yields as a function of incident-neutron energy for individual even-even nuclides are being determined from prompt γ-γ coincidence measurements using the GEANIE γ-ray spectrometer at the WNR spallation neutron source at LANSCE. To optimize the counting rate, relatively thick (200 - 400 mg/cm^2) U samples are used. A combination of planar and coaxial Ge detectors is used to detect both low-energy and higher-energy γ rays with excellent γ-ray energy resolution. The time-of-flight technique is used to determine incident neutron energies. The use of γ-γ coincidences greatly reduces backgrounds, allowing the extraction of fission yields for γ-ray lines contaminated by other reactions. The higher incident-neutron-energy data are useful for modeling accelerator-driven systems. Examples of the results obtained will be presented and compared with γ-ray singles measurements.^1 [1] W.
