The KS-18-M instrument for charged-particle measurements on the Granat
spacecraft is described. Data obtained from Dec. 2, 1989 to July 31,
1990 are examined. Particular attention is given to the proton event of
March 19, 1990, which exhibited a remarkable feature: a repeated sign
inversion of the proton anisotropy with a period of about two hours.
