An analytic approximation of the orbital motion of low-thrust, finite-burn, transfer vehicles is presented. A multivariable expansion perturbative method is applied to cases using transverse-thrust steering. A sample case with an elliptical orbit prior to the burn is used to demonstrate the accuracy of the method when different functional expansions of the differential equations are employed.
