Infra-Red, Variables

Scientific paper

On (Sept. 11, 2005) the first near infrared (0.87 2.35 μm) spectrum of the EXOR variable V1118Ori was obtained in low resolution mode (R ~ 250), with the AZT24 telescope at Campo Imperatore (Italy). It presents strong hydrogen recombination lines of the Brackett and Paschen series, some ionic emission features possibly attributable to [FeII], and also emission in the overtone bands of CO (v = 2-0, v = 3-1).
