We present here comparisons between two techniques used to solve radiative transfer in radiation-hydrodynamics simulations, namely the M_1 and S_n methods. To do so, we perform some academic case tests, first without coupling with matter, and second with it. In the first case, we compare also the results with an analytical solution. We found that these two techniques give similar results with a relative error of a few percents on the radiative energy and of about 18% on the matter temperature.
