The Rayleigh-Taylor instability in a rotating plasma of variable density is analyzed with allowance for the simultaneous effect of viscosity and the finiteness of the ion Larmor radius. It is shown that for a plasma with a vertically stratified density, the solution is characterized by a variational principle. The existence of the principle is used to obtain solutions for a semiinfinite plasma in which the density varies exponentially.
