Scientific paper
Fine structure excitation cross-sections are calculated for C and O
ground state atoms perturbed by atomic hydrogen in a close coupling
quantal treatment. Results for C are compared with the elastic results
of Yau and Dalgarno (1976), the same interatomic potentials being used.
