This proposal uses the FGS1r in both Position Mode {finelock} and Transfer Mode to observe selected targets in order to gain insight into the vehicle jitter characteristics after the alterations made to HST during SM3B. During SM3B new solar panels and the NCS will be installed. This test will gather data before and after the NCS turn-on, which implies that this proposal will execute duing the BEA and hence must have BEA compatile targets. The before test is necessary since the jitter profile of HST with the new solar panels {and with NCS off} must be baselined. The measurements made after the NSC turn on will be compared to these baseline measurements to accuately isolate the jitter, if any, induced by the operation of the NCS. The Transfer mode observations are included in this test since high frequency jitter is very sensitively detected as morphological perturbations of the individual scans. The Position mode observations will provide the data for 40hz SED analysis, as well as sensitively monitor the PCS performance while the telescope is guided under finelock by a guide star pair. Both the "before" and "after" tests require 2 orbits of HST time, so this proposal uses 4 {BEA} HST orbits.
