The seasonal dependence of the probability of large-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances is analyzed based on nighttime ionospheric parameters measured over Almaty during 2000-2007, as well as the dependence of annual average probabilities of their occurrence on the sunspot cycle. The behavior of these probabilities is compared with magnetic activity.
