Rapid optical and radio variations with a time scale of several days have been detected in OI 090.4, a radio object with a pure optical continuum. The 8.2-cm flux variations appear to be correlated (with a 2d time lag) with the optical R-band variations. If interstellar scintillation of OI 090.4 were to be detected at centimeter wavelengths, the object would certainly be extragalactic.
