Recent experimental studies realised at the synchrotron BESSYII have shown for the first time the photo-absorption spectra of the hydrogen molecule H2 in the short wavelength range (720 Å - 770 Å). We present here new calculations of the emission probabilities from the high electronic states to the ground state using new ab initio potentials and new transition moments of the molecule. The theoretical results are compared with those obtained from the experimental photo-absorption spectra.
