UBVRI photoelectric data on faint stars in the young open cluster Tr 16 in the magnitude range V equals 12-15 are presented. Some of these stars are overluminous for their class, and others fall slightly below the reddening line for A0-type stars in the two-color diagram. The possibility is analyzed that some of them may still be in the evolutionary process of gravitational contraction. Comments about the reddening law in this region are made, and the HR diagram for all the stars assumed to be members of Tr 16 is presented.
