Very high contrast prints made using an unsharp-masking technique confirm that there is some filamentary nebulosity lying to the west of Omega Centauri. Apart from the main nebulosity, two small, very faint patches appear 1.5 deg to the northeast. Since there is no evidence for either nebulosity or patchy obscuration in front of the cluster itself, it is suggested that the cluster is not significantly affected by differential reddening.
