The density distribution of quasars in the samples 3CR and 4C is investigated analytically, applying a modified V/Vmax method with an incompleteness factor which is obtained statistically from the deviation of individual quasars from the overall L-z curve. The results are presented in tables, graphs, and histograms and discussed. The density distribution is found to be correlated to q0 at the 90-percent confidence level, with a nearly homogeneous distribution for q0 = 0, a slight decrease in number of quasars as redshift increases for q0 = 0.5, and strong evidence for cosmological evolution at q0 = 1. The density-law exponent gamma is calculated for the q0 = 1 case and found to vary from 2 to 6, in good agreement with theoretical models of quasar morphology and evolution based on a low-density intergalactic medium.
