During the last two years, we have performed Ca H&K uvby photometry of selected Galactic bulge fields (>=1 sqr deg) using the CTIO 1m telescope. Our preliminary results revealed many extremely metal-poor ([Fe/H] < -3.0) red giants, using hk_0 versus (b-y)_0 relations, in the Galactic bulge as predicted by cosmological simulations. We propose to use Hydra in the echelle mode on the Blanco telescope to measure the iron, (alpha)-element, and neutron-capture element abundances for ~ 60 - 100 extremely metal-poor and ~ 250 - 300 very metal-poor red giant candidates in our selected Galactic bulge fields.
