Earth Atmosphere: Extinction

Scientific paper

A summary is given of the extinction coefficients at the Xinglong Station of the Beijing Observatory. The data are taken, as a by-product, from five research observing programs carried out during the period from 1979 to 1985, as well as from the observations obtained in 1964 for site-testing. A comparison of the data shows that the atmospheric transparency in the 1980's at the Xinglong Station is not as good as twenty years ago.
