The results of geometric treatment of gravitational radiation emission from a quasi-Newtonian system are reported. An initial value approach is used, with matter emitting gravitational radiation which is tracked to infinity on curved space null cones. The radiation also cancels out incoming gravity waves. The null cones are 'flattened' into the quasi-Newtonian system, which is defined as the limit of the evolution of the associated general relativistic system. The gradient of the Weyl tensor intrinsic to the null cone is obtained with a Poisson equation and a quasi-Newtonian expression is found for the curved space news function of the Einstein quadrupole formula.
