Estimates and preliminary calculations of the spatial-temporal characteristics of the perturbed region and radiation pulses of explosions during the impact of meteors on the Martian surface are presented. The low density of the Martian atmosphere and its chemical composition result in greater sizes of the perturbed region and in more intense radiation than in the case of explosions of the same energy in the denser atmosphere of the earth. Observations of such explosions can be used to obtain refined values of the mass distribution function for meteors 1-100 m in size in the solar system, and to evaluate the probability of their falling to earth.
