From a compiled data set of visible colors we reanalyze the correlation between color and inclination for Classical Trans-Neptunian Objects (CTNOs). Analysis of its functional form shows that this correlation is most compatible with a non-linear and stepwise behavior. We discuss this result and its possible implications for the distinction between the hot and cold populations of CTNOs and its consequences for our understanding of the Kuiper Belt.
