The evolution of a close binary system consisting of a neutron star and a black hole or another neutron star is considered. It is shown that the matter outflow from the neutron star results in quasi-static evolution of the star until the state of minimum possible mass mmin ≈ 0.09 M_sun; and the following explosion. In compact stellar clusters or galactic nuclei the total time of the process leading to explosion is less than the Hubble time.
