Experiments are proposed for detecting hyperphotons (gamma-Y), the real quanta of a hypercharge field which has been suggested by a recent reanalysis of the data from the Eotvos experiment. It is shown that gamma-Y would be best detected as an unobserved neutral in the decays K(+ or -) yields pi(+ or -) gamma-Y and K-S(0) yields pi(0) gamma-Y, and that existing experimental limits provide nontrivial constraints on the strength and range of possible hypercharge couplings. The existence of hypercharge fields could help reconcile certain discrepancies between the laboratory value of the Newtonian gravitational constant (G sub 0) and that obtained from geophysical measurements. Pole diagrams illustrating the K yields pi(gamma) interaction are provided.
