The modeling of processes occurring on cometary nuclei surfaces is described, and the conformity of experiments to similarity criteria is assessed. A new method is proposed for the complex modeling of cometary phenomena in both the laboratory and in space; it is based on the formation of a cloud composed of monodispersed icy 10-micron-sized particles. The realization of this method allows for a more accurate understanding of both the final stage of disintegration in icy bodies located at the periphery of the cometary atmosphere and the mechanisms governing solar-cometary interactions.
