Some results are presented for meteorological-rocket measurements of the electron component of corpuscular radiation in midlatitude and polar regions at heights greater than 110 km and at times of solar flare activity corresponding to weakly and mildly disturbed geomagnetic conditions. Measurements of midlatitude electron fluxes with energies of at least 40 keV as functions of Kp index and solar activity are shown to confirm the previously established correlation between the degree of geomagnetic-field disturbance and midlatitude radiation intensity. It is found that moderate-energy electron fluxes in the midlatitude upper atmosphere are 1 to 2 orders of magnitude greater on the dayside than on the nightside, that the variations at sunrise and sunset are well correlated with variations in geomagnetic activity, and that the variations in the polar regions are correlated with the level of local and global geomagnetic-field disturbance. The differential energy spectrum of the precipitated electrons is examined along with variations in primary-flux intensity as a function of local time at midlatitudes and in polar regions.
