The published work containing information on magnetovariational sounding is reviewed, and the most reliable values of magnetovariational sounding for periods ranging from 6 hr to 11 yr are catalogued. A new global sounding curve is plotted which is characterized by relatively small scatter of experimental data and high accuracy in the estimation of the apparent resistivity and of the spectral impedance phase from the mean values of a sample.
