In this short review, our present knowledge about the exoplanets will be presented and discussed. Starting with the developed theories for their formation around single, as well as binary stars, we continue with their stability. Going on with the results concerning the HZ, we finish with the latest interesting results obtained from the observations of the transits of some of them in front of their parent stars.
